tangere is a soft-sculpture series interrogating relationships between the cognitive and the emotional. tangere means to touch, more so touch emotionally. These works hope to promote the abandonment of passivity in art-viewing and encourage the viewer to actively touch the works. In doing so, relationships are established between the audience interaction and reaction, and the brain-inspired imagery of the sculptures. In experiencing these tactile works the viewer is asked to explore the cognitive processes that intertwine the physical and the emotional.
